Palawan Wildlife Rescue and Conservation Center Crocodile Farm and Nature Park
Enjoy a wildlife ecotour as you visit this facility that works to conserve the two endangered species of crocodiles found in the Philippines, the saltwater crocodile and the endemic Philippine freshwater crocodile. See for real these cold blooded animals and get to know the facts about these species of reptiles, the only known survivors of the Dinosaur Age. It would be interesting as well to learn the economic importance of crocodilians.

Baker's Hill
Baker’s Hill is exactly what its name says. It is a place on top of a hill where a number of bakers work together to cook deliciously baked goodies for tourists and visitors. Together they form a baker-based theme park that is complete with Disney character sculptures made from fiberglass. The place exudes a Disneyland-type feeling but without the rides. There is also a playground for kids while Mom and Dad go through the many choices of bread. The most popular items are chocolate crinkles, brownies, and hopia or bean filled pastry.

Our Lady of Immaculate Conception Cathedral
What’s so unique about this cathedral is the way it looks. It is an angular structure and colored white and blue, nothing like other historical chapels in the Philippines. A passing tourist may look twice since at first glance it looks more like a huge office up-close without seeing the spires with crosses and bells. It is truly an unconventional religious structure.
The original church of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception was built in 1871, but it was transformed into a cathedral under Bishop Gregorio Espiga in 1961. The cathedral now stands along Rizal Avenue, which is the most important street in the city. The airport, wharf, city hall, important restaurants and hotels, People’s Park, and Plaza Cuartel, as well as the former Vietnamese refugee camp, are all found along Rizal Avenue.

Mitra Ranch
Mitra Ranch, in Sta Monica Heights, is owned by the late Philippine Senator Ramon Mitra. The ranch has a great view of Palawan. The wooden, triangular-shaped mansion is built on a highland surrounded with greeneries and spacious picnic grounds. From the porch of the house, visitors have a panoramic view of the Sulu Sea and Honda Bay.

Puerto Princesa City Baywalk
A developed seafront strip in Puerto Princesa City providing a scenic place to view the sunrise or sunset. The peacock is the symbol of Puerto Princesa City which is also a part of the city’s official seal. There are a lot of food shops and restaurants along the baywalk and a designated area for bike rides. The Puerto Princesa Baywalk is located within the city proper area just beside the seaport in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.
Plaza Cuartel
Former site of a Japanese garrison, it is a few yards from the Immaculate Concepcion Cathedral. 143 American soldiers were burned inside a tunnel during the World War II. It serves as a Memorial Park in honor of local heroes, and American soldiers.
The place also has a lot of tales to tell. Plaza Cuartel has a colorful history because of the events that happened here during the World War II.

Palawan Butterfly Garden
This humble but popular garden was established by Roy Rodriguez, who used to be a tour guide in Palawan. He was said to have had a hard time whenever tourists, especially Japanese tourists, asked to see butterflies. There was a time when Roy took a group up the mountains to see just one butterfly fluttering about after waiting for hours.
Today, everyone wanting to see butterflies in abundance in Puerto Princesa knows where to go. The Palawan Butterfly Garden is only a tricycle ride away from any point in the city. It is open from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Admission fee is PHP50.

Souvenir shops around town carry beautifully made handcrafted goods in Palawan that make for lovely accents to any home. They usually carry a wide range of exotic wooden furniture and décor. Beautiful pearls, native goods, and fashion accessories made from local materials can also be found. Because many souvenir shops usually carry the same products, it is recommended to check out other shops that may sell the product for a cheaper price.
Honda Bay Island Hopping Tours
Just a few minutes north of city proper, hop onto a boat and go island hopping at the emerald waters of Honda Bay. Take your pick from several islands, each offering different excitements.
